One thing about corporate golf days at Services Golf Club is that there is always someone who creates a bit of excitement, and I have to share this story with you. Last week we had a golf day at the club, and I must say it was one of the more memorable ones. They went all out, from gift packs at registration to waterholes on almost every second hole, it was a well organized fun day. One player enjoyed it so much that when it was time to leave he took a wrong turn and ended up stuck between the boundary fence of the golf course and the 12^th tee box.I am sure that lost ball is still lost, not necessary to drive into the bushes to go look for it 10 o’clock at night… The following morning the ground staff reported that there was a stolen vehicle parked in the bushes on the course unaware of what happened the previous evening. Next moment there is military police all over the golf course looking for the thieve. Mean while let’s call him Mr. Golfer is at home sleeping off a massive headache. Later that afternoon Mr. Golfer pitch up at the golf course, ask his friend to tow him out and their they go as if nothing ever happened. Looks like when you finish your round of golf not to put away that GPS or stroke saver you never know when you might need it again.

Services Golf club was originally formed for the members of the four service departments. In 1994 the club was opened for the public. This parkland style course (18 Hole, 6713m, 72 Par Rating) with few water hazards offers some interesting challenges.

Registering

Go to www.golftimesa.co.za to register TODAY!
Click on the Golfer Registration menu link. (Left Side Panel)
This will display the registration page - please complete all your relevant details and submit your details.
Once this has been done, an activation email will be send to your email account
(Please allow up to 15 minutes for activation email).
Click on the link to complete the registration process and to activate your account.
Now log into the website using your selected username(email address) and password.

Making a Booking

1. Login to our website with your email address that you registered with (this is your username) and the password that you provided.
2. You will be presented with a search page - select the club of your choice and then the date that you want to play from the calendar. Click the search button.
3. If you selected a single day from the calendar you will be presented with a tee-sheet. Follow the instructions from step 5 onwards....
ELSE
if you selected more than 1 day at a time you will be presented with a list of all available tee sheets for the selected period. Choose a tee sheet that has available tee time slots to display the tee time slots.
4. Find an available tee time slot and click on the tee time.
5. You will be presented with text boxes to enter the player details (this can be done by selecting from the buddy list (click on icon) or by typing in free text)
6. Click on "continue with booking request"
7. Accept the terms and conditions and then click on "confirm booking request".
8. Your booking request has now been submitted to the club and you will receive a notification email message when your booking is confirmed.
