The R & A governs the game of golf worldwide, jointly administering the Rules of Golf, Rules of Amateur Status, Equipment Standards and World Amateur Golf Rankings. The R & A is committed to working for golf and supports the growth of the game internationally and the development and management of sustainable golf facilities. The R & A operates with the consent of 143 organizations from the amateur and professional game and on behalf of over thirty million golfers in 128 countries. A few weeks ago the R & A presented a course on the Decisions on the Rules of Golf at Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Country Club. Johan and Kobus Krause members of Services Golf Club attended the course and also passed the exam. They join a small group of people which can say that they are now certified on the Rules of Golf. Well done and I am sure they will be able to give a ruling when you ask them for one
Services Golf club was originally formed for the members of the four service departments. In 1994 the club was opened for the public. This parkland style course (18 Hole, 6713m, 72 Par Rating) with few water hazards offers some interesting challenges.
