The entry fees for the event was only R60.00 per player and included green fees for 18 holes, a hamburger and cool drink after 9 as well as prizes to be won. The players were divided into groups according to their age, ranging from 9-15. Players who are members of clubs played of their official handicaps and players that did not have official handicaps played of 18 or 24 handicaps, depending on their age.
