OUT OF BOUNDS (RULE 27)

Beyond all boundary fences, including the wall behind the 17th green, and the following areas demarcated by white stakes:

LATERAL WATER HAZARD (RELIEF RULE 26)

As indicated by red stakes.  The dams to the left of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd holes, the dam at the 15th hole, the ditches to the right of the 5th, 7th and 12th holes, the ditch between the 5th and 6th holes, the ditch between the 14th and 16th holes and the ditches left and right of the 18th hole

WATERHAZARDS (RELIEF RULE 26)

As indicated by yellow stakes.  Ditches crossing the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th and 18th holes, the dam at the 17th hole and the ditch between the 17th and 18th holes.  The water feature behind the 18th green and if relief is taken it must be within the nearest demarcated dropping zone

 GROUND UNDER REPAIR (RULE 25-1)

All bare patches on the fairway and areas marked as GUR

CULTIVATED AREAS

Only the garden behind the 18th green is considered to be a cultivated area and relief must be obtained within the nearest demarcated dropping zone

YOUNG TREES

As indicated by blue stakes.  Relief may be obtained in terms of Rule 24-2b(i).

ROADS AND PATHWAYS

Relief may be obtained from all roads and pathways  on the course in terms of Rule 24-2b(i).

IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS

The pump house to the left of the 6th hole and all fixed sprinkler heads, benches, shelters and protection fences. The white stakes to the left and right of the 4th and 17th holes are to be treated as immovable obstructions for play on all holes except the 9th and 18th holes respectively, where they are to be treated as out of bounds markers.  Relief may be obtained in terms of Rule 24-2b

MEASURING DEVICES

The use of devices, only for measuring distance on the course, is allowed

COMPLETION OF SCORECARDS

Players in club competitions are required to complete the scorecard correctly as a condition of entry.  To avoid disqualification the correct date, competition, player’s name and handicap, marker’s name and handicap and both signatures are required on the card

CELLULAR PHONES

The use of cellular phones on the course is prohibited

DECISIONS AND DISPUTES

Should there be any doubt or dispute about play or the application of the rules, a player shall play 2 balls on the hole in play and obtain a ruling from the Tournament/Competitions Committee after completion of the round

TEMPORARY LOCAL RULES

All temporary local rules will be displayed on the notice boards
